A Quick and Dirty Guide to Archaeology
Hello! My name is Giselle and I’m an Archaeologist (and human remains specialist) based in England. After seeing Substack after Substack pop up on my socials, plus a little internal reminder that I used to do regular blog posts, I decided to fill the hole (pun intended) in archaeology reading material. Welcome!
No week looks the same to me, and I hope to make every post just as different. I spend my days digging in fields all across the country, or analysing skeletons from the comfort of my own home… working on sites ranging from the now-peaty Mesolithic (11,000 years ago) to the metal-detector-focused Second World War.
